Great detail on the writing in the grimoire.

Ooh, that book is lovely, as is his eye!

And honestly, having his feet off the ground just works, like he's in the middle of an evil rant.

I believe someone ordered the hats, extra large, with a side of tusks and ringlets?

Yep, the Chaos Dwarfs are here! (D6+2 of them, if you like Warhammer Quest). Couple of metal guys close-up:

And some of my favourite one-piece plastics. Real charm to these little guys.

Motoring along with the project at the moment, because I'm planning a shiny new campaign! I'm going all-in this time - just spent a small fortune on custom printed cards from Makeplayingcards, and currently printing and pasting some custom board sections. Hoo boy, I'm in too deep.

Speaking of spending a small fortune, have you guys seen the price of bull centaurs on ebay these days? Sheesh! I simply couldn't justify the cost, so I went to Etsy and ordered some 3D-printed proxies, sculpted by Fabelzel. Honestly, it felt a bit dirty and wrong  lol, and the minis aren't actually as good as the originals: but hey, they're done, and that counts for something right?!

Next up, six more ghouls to finish off my set of 12, and a new hero or two.

I really like most of the Fabelzel stuff.  He did a good job sculpting them, and it's not as if you're buying some shady resin re-casts.  The 'old' Chaos Dwarf army has been dead for 25+ years.

Yeah, it's not so much the "copyright" issues, given the game's age, but more that they aren't the "perfect" mini, so they sort of break my first principles of the project. But what they do really well is capture the character and essence of the originals, so I have no regrets, and it brings me one step closer to completing my Level 2 monster roster!

Yes indeed! Found a bag with five Golgfag's Ogres models, hence the immediate distraction  :D

Nice!  I am debating doing a Dogs of War styled army for my game...as there are now plenty of suitable plastics and 3D prints to recreate the style.
