Aaron, I found them in a middle aisle, looks like they are a new product. There is a big set with various styles. Meant to be used for school projects and dioramas.
Good Luck with it.

Thanks. I'll have to stop by my local this weekend. The place is so big I usually come out with about half of what I went in for, but also with a ton of stuff I didn't know I "needed" before I went in!

Finally,
Took some photos (evil new camera, etc. etc.) of the plastic, cake decoration terrain features.  Here's where much of it can be purchased.
BakingStuff.com:
And now some photos.

Cake decoration plam trees, on an oval piece of wood, with sand, and a Copplestone figure for scale.

Michael's craft store 'green plastic bush thing' disassembled, and glued onto a steel washer.  Technically it shouldn't be a Greek for scale, but it was the only figure with a base small enough to fit.

Cake decoration cactus, with Wargames Foundry conversion (originally Indian Mutiny I think) for scale.

Cake decoration cactus, with Wargames Foundry cowboy (no conversion here) for scale.  Oh, this cactus only comes in one, rather tall for 25mm, version, but it's easy to cut up into various smaller plants

Thanks a lot for the pictures. I just ordered a sampling of them along with a Kung Fu Panda cake topper for my son.

Outstanding!  Looks just like my back yard.  You really got the colors right.

... had some time today and used it to build a little more flora for my Wild West scenery ... ;)

In the first picture you see the cacti after basing with sand and cat litter on white plastic ... the cacti are from Pegasus Hobbies and look unpainted a bit unreal ...

Here you see the painted version:

... and together with the other cacti:

I hope you like it ...

These are great! I'm going to have to get some of these now.

I have a bunch of different cacti from several manufacturers. Old Glory, Reviresco, & Monday Knight Produtions. I also have a couple of the IMEX Southwestern/Alamo accessories sets in 1:72 scale. The cacti all mix prety well together. And the IMEX set has a number of really small Cacti that I added to some of my figure bases.

Read thru all the posts on this thread but didn't find a source to purchase the featured cacti? The Cake decorating cacti appear to be different. So, If someon knows the actual purchase source of the pictured cacti could you post it.   :)

Alfrik, the cacti are manufactured by Pegasus Hobbies. Here is the direct link:

  http://www.pegasushobbies.com/gm_main.htm

Go to the online catalog, type 'cactus' into the search.

You inspired me :) I did the same. I went down to a Hobby Shop and picked up a Woodland Scenic http://scenearama.woodlandscenics.com/items_AccentKits.cfm/AccentKits Desert Plants set, and mounted them on some bases. I just need to prime and paint them up now.

Must get some of those cacti, your treatment certainly brings them to life.  8)
