Something a little different....1:1 scale Ent. Done!
« on: 29 July 2015, 04:53:08 PM »
Since moving in to this place a couple of years ago, there was something that I noticed on the first day but have not had time to get around to....until today.......

...a 1:1 scale Ent !

The shape has always been there staring at me, just begging to be done..
As I had to stay in all day waiting for a delivery, I thought: 'Why not?'

Progress pictures will follow as I get closer to the finished article.
 :D

Hrrrrummmmm.....

It looks like a massive snake, and frankly, it's freaking me out!   :o
(Like that one from the Jungle Book, I forget it's name...)
So I guess that means you did good!

Are the rumours that you were discovered in the garden chanting dressed in robes at midnight unfounded?  :D

It is a WIP at the moment, although I have done a bit more since taking the picture.
Lets hope it freaks you more when it is finished.

I am under strict orders that it needs to 'blend in' so that may not be possible.
I like the idea, though.
 ;)
(It may glow a little as the iris' are glass so there may be a little refection from the solar lights.... :D).

You shall find out in October.

That was not my intention.
Honest.

I am working on it and have done a little more to it.
I shall post another picture tomorrow showing the progress so far.

Absolutely brilliant Paolo.
A proper Green Man - and a little green man to boot!

You are completely bonkers, but, well, you know... That fine line between madness and genius  ;)

I have finished the painting on it, but I am off to meet Bibbles for 'lunch' so I will take piccies later.
I had better hope it does not rain before I get back and varnish it..... ::)

There is a fine line between genius and certifiable loon. I think you have crossed that line soo far that the line is now actually just a dot.

I am however not entirely sure what side you have crossed to...
