I have been following your various painting projects for some time now and I love your painting style and colour choices. It has even gotten me interested in studying colour theory in the future  :D

Beware of colour theory as it get's rather complicated very quickly once you move beyond colour wheels. In fact, if I had any advice about color theory it would be to stick to the basics for miniature painting. Unless you're planning on entering a Golden Deamon thing..... :)

Great work as always and thanks for complementing my crusaders, means a lot.

You're Crusades stuff is very worthy of praise mate!  8)

I always relish looking at new posts from you mate 👍

Cheers Gareth mate :)

More great stuff. It’s not just your painting, which is very well executed, but your attention to the composition of each base that stands out just as much. Well done.

Thanks Alan. Composition is the idea when it comes to putting together units so I'm very pleased to hear you appreciate it. :)

And more.....

Still not quite back in the rhythm of things with the brush but definitely an improvement on my output of late.

The second rank of the 24 man unit of Huscarls ands Fyrd including the command figures.

More pictures from various angles can be seen on my blog here:

These are very well done. The horn blower is my favorite.

I seem to be taking myself by surprise presently; on a bit of a roll at the with the completion of the Italian Mounted Arquebusiers a few days ago and now a 24 man unit of Anglo Danes to add to my army.

I have just one more unit of Huscarls/Fyrd, a unit of Norse mercenaries and two twelve man units of skirmishers to do and the army will have got as far as I had plans for! I find myself in the unusual position of actually getting very close to finishing as project!

There are many more pictures of the unit from a variety of angles on my Just Add Water Blog here:

Cheers

fantastic stuff, and really great unit, they come together really well, and the side shots really show off how you have captured the moment, with them seeming to push and shove together in the melee of battle - trying to get their spears at the enemy.

and your painting as always is top notch

Thank you, that is music to my ears. Since the Perry's releasing their Agincourt to Orleans metal's I've really tried to make my units, where appropriate, to interact, to cooperate, to "talk" if you like(?)

and your painting as always is top notch

Thanks again Tactalvanic :)

Beautiful work (as always! ;)), and I'll bet there were a few hairy moments attaching the figures to the bases whilst trying to rank them up without scuffing the paintwork!
