Having worked on several themed warbands it's been nice to do a mix of unrelated D&D type characters is I can just choose figures I like. So next up is the obligatory dwarf with axe!

So, I'm on hols at the moment and wifi is very on-offy so I'll be quick. Being 2319.2 miles from home is no excuse to skip a Monday update. My next D&D themed Warband is a Dragonborn cleric from Reaper. Won't be in the starter band but will be a paladin as soon as I can afford it!

Thanks for likes! Check out Raivan's thread and the even *more* niche D&D warband based solely on Dragonlance! Excellent throwback! I'll be attempting to get as many of the official 5th edition races in as I can in mine but the warhound needs to be a really iconic D&D monster - still trying to think of the most iconic/corniest 😁

Oops, been a bit lacking on the update front. Been very busy terrain making to be honest and will post some up soon. Anyway, recent progress include these DnD themed Derro which I hope to use as cultist alternates in the Lichlord scenarios...



I wanted some other Underdark races too and this is my test for a Duergar:

Looks like we are going to play straight through the Lich Lord campaign, but with some effort spent on correct scenary and models! Been busy prepping some possible models for a Necromancer warband but did at least finish this one. I'm kinda going for a far more evil looking aesthetic than my usual! Opinions welcome, especially if this tipping to far over into the darker side :-)

And another one for my new soon to be D&D inspired warband... a half- Orc barbarian. It's surprising how hard it is to get decent miniatures for the lesser races, but once again Reaper came to the rescue. And further more, he's gonna get a girlfriend next week!







I'm also in the middle of making some dungeon tiles too, which I'm doing my best to take some photos of throughout. I'll post when I can, but hopefully I will have enough to add some more true dungeon style to the Lich Lord and Breeding Pits scenarios.

I'd like to do some specific tiles for scenarios, like the bone wheel or something. Suggestions welcome!

He's awesome! He'll also make an excellent Captain too with bow and arrow. And I think he fits the theme. He's warmly dressed and with Orc genes I think the cold won't bother him. Thumbs up!

Thanks for comments! The female cultist is another Reaper miniature (I think she is called Dungeon Mistress?)

And thanks for pointing out the half-Orc could be a barbarian - excellent idea! I will definately do that. Hopefully I will have his girlfriend finished for next week.

This years New Year resolution was to post a new miniature (or group of mini's) a week on Twitter for #miniaturemonday for the entire of 2016. I'm so close now, but pushing myself doing this I can honestly say I have found my own style, I paint x3 faster and can now wet blend

As promised, here is a girlfriend for my Half-Orc! My biggest problem is what to count the viscous wolverine claws as - I suppose she could be a Tunnel Fighter?
