Torture Chamber Accessories
« Reply #422 on: 07 January 2017, 01:27:12 PM »
Thanks :)

Printed most of Curufin's -- Hero's Hoard -- Torture Chamber Accessories and almost done painting.  Just figured I'd share.  I am not sure if it can be used with some Frostgrave expansion or not.   I guess there could be a custom scenario or something.

Lovely work, they would be ideal for filling up a dungeon set up using 'Into the Breeding Pits'.

Both Great looking and I agree: the torture instruments could easily be used in a dungeon chamber of the breeding pits :D. Is this stuff from Thingiverse?

Curufin gives away the head chopping block for free alogn with an axe.  He has link to purchase STL pack.  It's only $8.95 and was well worth it to me.  He put so much work into those.

Here's a link to the thingiverse.com page:

Modular River revisited.

Decided I want to try out some 3D printed modular tiles.

Working out the paint job before make the dozen or so tiles.

Please criticsize.  I want to improve it as much as is reasonable.

I'll add the Liquitex Medium Viscosity High Gloss Gel after I get the paint job worked out.  Ignore the print lines from the 3D printer that are showing, this is just a test piece.  The final pieces will have a coat of modeling past on the river bottom before basing so these lines won't show.

Cant criticize the print.  For the bead I would use either greens or browns since most rivers are either.  My suggestion for the water is somewhat different.  Here is a link on how to use Envirotex lite.

The material comes out rock hard and looks so much better than any other product.  The toot is for a dungeon waterway but the technique is valid for rivers.
In the states you can find it at Home depot and the like.  It is used to cover tabletops.  In the UK I have only seen it on amazon and ebay.
Hope that helps.

Messing around with some cavern stuff.  Tiles are made of that workbench neoprene mat stuff.. like 2 quid per 24x24 inch.

Hirst arts scatter terrain adds to the look quite a bit :)   Only need a few here and there .. it's implied that the tile borders/edges are all lined with them (cavern walls).

I just made the cavern door/arch a couple hours ago with sculpey.  My first sculpture, besides bread :)

I have to say, you do some lovely work; a real pleasure to look at and so prolific...! (there should be a "jealous" icon).

Did a remix of the bubble pools that is on thingiverse.  Detached them from the tiles for use with any terrain such as a battle mat, etc..  Made it available on thingiverse at the following URL.  Cost me like 10 cents to print both and they look great! :)  Other scatter terrain is the Hirst ARts Water Cavern Mold #82.
