I love your barber shop, Michi. I must get a pole for mine.

The battle of the barbers - you know there can be only one...(to call himself the bloodiest barber in the west!)

Maybe they could have a 'shave-off' to see whose the bloodiest barber in the West?   lol

I'm also looking using Pulp Alley for Old West game. Any feedback on your experience is welcome.

Treebeard, I will post a game report here soon. I think Pulp Alley rules will work extremely well in the Old West.

I agree - the Old West is a very 'pulpy' period to game, anyway. I need to get some more minis and some of my Sarissa buildings painted for the same purpose.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Looking forward to seeing that.

I want to get that Sarissa Minehead Wheelhouse, I like the look of that.

Very nice!

An Old West expansion for Pulp Alley has always been something we've wanted to do.

I'm looking forward to seeing your scenarios.  ;)

That would be marvellous, Dave. I would love that!  :-*

I'm looking forward to seeing your scenarios.

I'll post the scenario and plot points here shortly for 'Tall Tales from Hog Thief Bend: Episode 1 - The Missing Pinkerton'. The next scenario will follow on from the result of this one (if that makes sense!).

So I took a quick break from the Old West to paint a pirate for the Pikes, Muskets and Flouncy Shirts Painting Club . Now that Roly Deschain's gun store is complete the town is starting to look a little better. Although I don't have a mini for Deschain yet.

Showing the first three more modern buildings together.......................

and then Hog Thief Bend so far.................................

I like that backdrop too.
Maybe I need to get one of those.

Thanks, Mason. I'm pleased with it so far. Just deciding what building is coming next.

I thought it was very good value, £10.99 on Amazon (free p&p), 60cm by 200cm so quite big, I've only got half of it showing above table level as the foreground looks out of scale to the town, but still a lovely backdrop.

Cracking stuff your Lordship. Great to see the humble barber getting his moment in the spotlight. The barber of Hopkirk's Crossing (my own Old West town) is Leo Sawyer, a small flamboyant man who often 'feels like dancing' in one of the town saloons. It seems we've all based our barbers on sinister characters of the past. I haven't sculpted a curly perm on the figure though.

I wonder if Leo Sawyer's barbershop motto is 'The Show Must Go On'?

A very biased suggestion on my part.
