The paintjob is a bit rough, and as I took these photos I spotted a couple of things that really need fixing but I'm calling it done. I've been using this in games for months now and not gotten around to finishing the paintjob, but this will do. I tried to paint it all assembled, which was a bad idea.

Either way, I'm happy with the build itself. It's a Warlord roman catapult, with some Perry english archer bits mostly.

I like it! Definitely gets across the feel of the lighter sort of siege equipment you'd expect to see in the War of 5 Kings!

Love it - reminds me, I need some crew for my catapult

Don't know how I haven't replied for a while, but really like the catapult. There's not enough good options for medieval-era siege artillery and you did a great job converting the Roman one with appropriate crew.

Also I love your unique take on the Forgotten World cavalry. Been working on something similar myself but combining it with the Perry barding was an inspired idea.

Nice one. I agree it works well for a field piece

Now that round 4 LPL is on, here is my round 3 contribution. While the competition photo is dark, it also covers some sins of rushing these to finish on the deadline. I almost didn't make it into LPL at all, and as you can see in the second photo, they do need a good bit of touching up to be completely finished.

The models are Claymore's English Archers, the newer two sets. They have just shown another eight unique sculpts to be released, and I'll have to get those to round out the unit. A couple of Perry plastics and we should have a nice unit of 20 longbowmen.

I imagine these as a mix Crannogmen from the Neck, and huntsmen from the Wolfswood.

Excellent work, I love the sculpts on them! I was going to use some to represent Freys

Great stuff, the use of the different period elements for the catapult set up is inspired  8)

I like them. Very evocative sculpts from Mr Hicks, and I like the grungy peasant colours on them.
The catapult and crew are rather good too  :)

Thank you all!

Captain, I believe it's Matt Bickley who sculpts for Claymore, but nevertheless, they are wonderful sculpts. Eagerly awaiting the release of the next eight archers.

Oh yes, of course it is! Doh. The talented Mr Bickley  :)
I was momentarily seduced by the faces, which have that slightly pinched look of many of Paul’s sculpts.
Either way, they’re very nice figures :)

Excellent stuff. How have you found the Perry plastics to compare to Claymore scalewise, if I may ask? Loving the muted earthern tones (but then I would...)
