New group trying out Urban War
« on: 29 July 2016, 02:43:05 PM »
So me and my gaming group are trying out Urban War. One thing I really don't like in skirmish games is the "you decide the point limit" approach, because, as we've never played, we don't really know what the optimal size is.

To those who have played the game (2nd edition), what is the standard point size to start a game? Did they they ever do any tournaments? If so, what were their point size?

Never played it and don't even own the rules (Royal Mail appear to have lost the copy I bought on Ebay recently!) but the strike team starter sets are about 170 points which gives a handful of models. I seem to recall anything up to 300 points being a good start though.

Be nice to see some stuff painted up as and when.

There were tournaments for it in Oz back in the day.  They were mostly 300pt games (as the scenarios on the website seem to echo.
