Thanks Knabe, this is another fantastic read.

I thought Bailey did some more damage on Argorn, when I read here side of the story.

But you took up the story in a very nice way.

Thanks to both of you to let us participate in your adventures.

I agree,SerialMoM; another great report from Knabe!

Sorry for the misdirect in Quail's report.   I needed Bailey to think she had harmed Agarn, in order for her to have a catalyst to snap her out of her post-traumatic grief.  If you go back and reread that part of Quail's report, Bailey is actually temporarily blinded by the bright flash in a darkened room, so she wasn't able to see anything; and even if she could, Agarn had disappeared from her view anyway after the blast (see Bemis' report).  It was just her emotionally overloaded mind that filled in the blanks incorrectly.  She knew what had happened to her in Bemis' Grenade attack in the Library, so she just assumed that is what happened to Bemis' Apprentice; as that is what her half-crazed anger-burdened mind had pictured was going to happen.  In the moment she was so overcome with suppressed grief and sadness I think part of her wanted to punish herself with the worse possible outcome.

Thanks for the comments. It fun writing a story for game, and the kind comments are great encouragement.

I had the fortune of reading Quail's' report first which allowed me to dovetail into the story line.

And sometimes I have to read Quail's report to find out what happened and that end of the table.

We finally got to play the next scenario in our campaign this past Saturday; The Dark Cauldrons

For my Sigilist, Quail's report, please see: https://onemoregamingproject.blogspot.com/2017/09/frostgrave-campaign-17-game-9-dark.html

"Innis cursed again, as there was suddenly another loud groan from within the cauldron, and the liquid on top began to froth as a ragged arm rose up out of the muck and, reaching over, grabbed the rim of the vessel. The rest of the Zombie emerged, and turning it's head,  it's yellowed eyes fell upon the Treasure Hunter..."

Last Saturday we played the 10th installment of this year's Frostgrave Campaign:  The Bone Wheels.  It was an exciting outing filled with treachery and narrow escapes!

Quail's report has now been posted:http://onemoregamingproject.blogspot.com/2017/10/frostgrave-campaign-17-game-10-bones.html

"...but then Bemis' dog appeared in a gap in the wall, and leapt at Dorchesman.  The beast only caught his cape but the Treasure Hunter was pulled up short.  Bailey pointed to the chest that held the Archangel Sword, and said to Sally, "Take that out of here! Now!"  The Ranger obeyed, and hefting up the long sword case onto her powerful shoulders, turned and headed back towards the tower.  Bailey, however turned, and drawing her weapons, launched herself at the enemy Warhound..".

We played the final battle of the Lich Lord book this past Saturday!
It as a fun game, though very frustrating, as I had one of those days where I couldn't roll to save myself.  :'(

My Sigilist Quail's report has been posted: https://onemoregamingproject.blogspot.com/2017/11/frostgrave-campaign-17-game-11-final.html

"...As Bailey finished the spell, she felt a stab of excruciating fire in her side, and she cried out in shock and pain.   Looking down she saw the spike of a Bone Dart protruding from just under her ribcage on the right side.  Bailey felt faint, and the ground beneath her feet seemed to roll and pitch. As she tried to stay conscious,  a second stab of pain shot through her left shoulder, and through blurry eyes, she turned her head to see a crossbow bolt from one of Gru's Marksmen sticking at an angle into her arm.  Her eyes lost focus, the world gave a last roll beneath her feet, and her body pitched  backwards into her Fog wall as all went black..."

We played the final game of our 2017 Frostgrave Campaign on Saturday December 9th.   Like we did last year, we combined it with a little Christmas party. ::):   We decided to do a Christmas themed scenario this year called, "Red Sled Down", which featured Santa's Sleigh breaking up over Frostgrave and scattering it's contents, including Mr and Mrs Claus, all over a section of the city.  This loot has attracted a band of Goblins, as well as a bunch of the usual Wizards...

Quails report has been posted: http://onemoregamingproject.blogspot.com/2017/12/frostgrave-campaign-17-game-12-red-sled.html

" ...Quail was horrified to see the Fog Wall suddenly vaporizing into misty tendrils while she looked at it. (Gru's Apprentice uses Dispel Magic).  As the last wisps of vapor drifted in the cold air, the Siglist suddenly realized she was looking directly at a Marksman with a crossbow a short distance past where the Fog Wall had been. She then heard the distinctive sharp sound of the weapon being fired..."

I can't believe I've missed so many game reports - very remiss of me!
Great stuff as always and a fine, if rather brutal, way of concluding your campaign this year. Bravo one and all.
We have two more games to finish off our Lich Lord campaign, but that will have to wait until next year...

Hey guys,

It's been great reading this thread and the blog updates for this campaign. It all looks fantastic and has been a great read.

My gaming group have decided to run a Thaw of the Lich Lord campaign in 2018 - similar to you in playing one scenario a month.

Just wondering on what (if any) house rules you had in place for the large multiplayer games you ran throughout the campaign? - scaling starting creature numbers, wandering creatures, treasure placement, warband starting locations etc...

We are going to try and mostly have numerous one on one games running if possible, but figure in some cases based on availability and numbers we'd have some multiplayer games taking place so wondered if you had any tips and ideas around this for the campaign itself?
