Stairs could be awesome.
About the stable.... i'm thinking on how to build it to make it work well with the modularity. I wouldn't build a full building, but maybe having it attached to the wall section, two lateral sections and a wooden roof... might work well! That's some good food for thoughts, thank you!

A little more has been done, molding and casting mainly. The first few copies are joined together and now are waiting to be painted.

Lovely! Looks like they'd suit almost any tabletop :)

Is this something you're planning to cast and make available for sale? I love these pieces and admire the clever way you've got them to link together at corners. Corners are something I often see neglected on commercially available ruins, but in real life they are sturdiest parts of a building and the last to fall or crumble down, as I've seen on many ruined houses and castles here in central France.

I've been following this thread for a while now and am keen to find out if this is a purely personal project, or a commercial venture?

Thank you everyone! :)

Glad you approve, and i do agree about the corners. Moreover, that's the only way to allow three joining directions per jigsaw joints, allowing more combinations! :)

It's definitely not just a personal project, but as i generally do with my sculpts i think i'll rather sell them to a company, since the casting-shipping job does not fit in my free hobby time.

For this set in particular i had a few interested parties already, but i'm hoping once finished to find as a buyer one of the mainstream miniatures lines around: north star, warlord, gripping beast... Compared with my other works, this one reqwuires less efforts casting-wise and is easier to be used by less handy wargamers.
We'll see, i suppose. :)

Cheers
Jack

Heresy!

I already said it, but bloody marvellous stuff, plenty of things that might be added for more variety, but nothing about these I would see changed!

Very nice words, thank you! :) That's what keeps me motivated, as soon as i complete a few other commissions in the line! :)

Do you have suggestions for the companies? I'll be likely selling the customization parts (such as the one-sided walls and beams) to Fenris; however, as said above the whole ruins probably would work better for some mainstream company. Do you think North Star would appreciate those? Maybe Gripping Beast with his more historical lines?

Considering the size of the casts, maybe someone to organize a small KS with, to serialize the production a bit.

Any hint is appreciated! :)
