I have missed this project, lovely stuff!

You probably missed it because I post infrequently, as I work on this project as a break from other things.  lol

But, while I'm at it, I'm working on creating an army of demons. This is my take on the fantastic work of Deano's 15mm demons. If you haven't seen them, go check them out. Tarting on page 32 of his thread: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=90676.465

Just remember I'm not that kind of painter!  lol

Anyway, the goal is to end up with 20-something minor demons (roughly 15mm or slightly smaller), 5-10 demons proper (20mm-ish), and then 3-5 large Demons (30mm+). I'm still planning on using the Nightwatch rules from Todoroff, so I need an array of demons. Here is the start of my minor demons (all printed on my Anycubic Mono SE, files from all over Thingiverse):

It is weirdly difficult to find decent Demon models. So some of these little baddies are fantasy oddballs that I thought could work. Like the pig-faced knight below.

As these are just nameless foes, I'm not dedicating a ton of time to painting them. The basic idea is to give them a neutral tan primer coat, wash them with some color wash (red/blue/green/sepia) and then hit the highlights with a little bit of a base color (red, blue, green, tan) and pick a couple of highlights like tongues, horns, and weapons. I painted my way through this full set in an evening, which is darn good for me. I'm a slow painter. Anyway, no dry brushing for these guys. Not worth the time.

Here is the group next to some hero characters, which are standard 15mm miniatures.

I have a couple of demons, and a couple of large demons on my painting table now, along with another nine minor demons. My hope is to get the final bit of printing done next week, along with the text prints for my scatter terrain.

That is a very good start to a Demon horde.

Thanks, Miner. The hope is that the larger the mass grows the more they will look the business. Individually none of them are much to sneeze at, but in groups, they look suitably chaotic.

I recognize some of the excellent dutchmogul's models in there. I do use them too.

My new dungeon tiles are done. These match the previously made cave tiles but add much larger areas for encounters and combat. The new tiles include three rooms (one entrance/exit):

And...

There are two hallways (one entrance, one exit, or two doorways).

And this one with a jog to it:

A T-intersection:

And a 4-way:

Next will be to probably make some long hallways similar to the dungeon tile construction with the 1/2" corrugated cardboard walls and flagstones. Tomorrow I'll show some of the 3d printable scatter terrain for the dungeons.

More vermin demons for my Nightwatch Diablo game. This should wrap up the need for vermin figures at 18. Next, I need to start whipping up the horde-level demons.
Again, keeping the paint job simple:

All figures are from various sources around Thingiverse.

I've also started to print up some scatter terrain as well. These are mash-ups of multiple .STL files. Some basic columns:

Graven statues with some little skulls scattered about.

An objective marker with some unconscious/dead civilians:

And another statue with some pitchers of ritual blood?

I've finished my four heroes for this first part of the quest (paint and character sheets). I just have a couple more objective markers to paint up and I'll be ready to give this a shot. I also started refreshing my memory about the Nightwatch rules, so once I get all the pieces painted up I'll be ready to jump in.

Cook

I’m not into demons at all, but your collection looks awesome so far!

Great selection of demonic loveliness. They look really good together as a force and also as individuals.

Thanks, all.

Cacique, when I first started this project I had imagined some very uniform and coherent demonic hosts. Once I got my 3d printer, my view changed on this a bit, and (as I'm want to do) the project became a little less grim and a bit more whimsical. I mean, they are demons and chances are good they will be up to no good but that doesn't mean they can't have some character and color about them. So I'm a little less bored with my painting (I loathe the idea of painting coherent armies) and I get to print a ton of really fun characters for my project.

Wow! some really great stuff! the new demons look great, and those dungeon tiles are really nice and look as they can be stackable for storage too.
