Those anthro judges somehow remind me of the story illustrated by Kevin O'Neill where Dredd meets a mutant who styled himself as such after finding an issue of Megazine (IIRC - rather meta, that one).

Thanks for the heads up on the Kevin O'Neill stuff, I had never seen that artwork before. might give me some ideas for future stuff though

Sludge the Mutant Enforcer sculpted by Rykar Jove

Sludge was once a Cadet at the Justice Department, during a routine training mission he became infected with a virus that altered his physical appearance and well being. His body became slimey and his skin and muscles almost liquefied into a viscous sludge like substance. No cure could be found and Sludge felt betrayed by the Justice Department and vowed revenge. Now his mind is almost as warped and twisted as his body is as he schemes to bring down the Stunty City 1 Justice Department

Nobody knows his origins although the speculation is that he was once a Special Investigator with the Stunty City One Fire Department and that he became addicted to fire and delusioned with life in the civil service decided to form a gang to wreak havoc on the public
