All caught up again, and it was a pleasure to read through it all! The production and presentation of your hobbying continues to be inspiring and excellent. The Fireforged kits suit the aesthetic of The Black Order very well, and your painting continues to truly evoke the bleak harsh climate of their home. The presentation of your battle reports are truly exceptional, and I look forward to the next one.

Thanks, guys :) means a lot to hear! Really appreciate the kind words.

I've got my hands on a new camera and am still playing around with the controls - messing around a bit in the meantime:

Thanks! :)

Sony ILCE A6400. It's not bad, bit pricey but has worked out OK so far.

More to come today I hope!

So I've been reworking some of my terrain lately, partly in anticipation of getting some actual real life gaming in again, and partly because I just thought it could be better.

Firstly, forests! Much more time spent reworking these - added several different kinds of stones, lichen, and lightly dusted the trees with snow to sell the effect better.

Standing stones and difficult ground! I added some points of interest, some branches and tweaked the snow slightly.

More to come...

Beautiful work....remind me how you do your slightly melted snow...I really like the consistency....thinking of varying mine a bit more.

Those terrain pieces are so full of character....on the one hand they look pretty tranquil, but equally you could imagine some evil ritual having been carried out in them.

Great looking bases - the snow is particularly effective.

Nice and detailed pieces, desatured in the grimdark fashion and blended in with the world rather than clearly looking like brightly painted pieces. The snow in general adds such good contrast to all the dreary darkness, I suppose there is good reason snow bases are popular! I expect your board will look excellent.

Interesting, as I understand the Sony has a complicated menu,I bought a Fuji a couple of years ago which is very similar, though for miniatures I use my Canon DSLR. Like to hear ho y go ith it.
Your difficult ground is excellent  :-*
