Thanks.

I do need to get a new daylight source as he did not look quite so pink under the lights.

So finally something "new" for my Vietnam project. I say new as it has been over four months since my last post on this thread.

The Empress M422 Mighty Mite light vehicle.

I reinforced the front windscreen (because I am clumsy) with a Greenstuff tarpaulin, and a bedroll reinforces the rear door (see previous comment).

Rubicon Jeep kits provided the decals (incorrect numbers).

And I broke one of the USMC parts and the substitute is different.

Someone has not cleaned the inside recently.

Slightly too enthusiastic with the Army Painter Dark Tone and Humbrol weathering powders.

I like the inside, looks suitably used.

Thanks.

If it’s not the battery, try the distributor cap. If all else fails give the AA a call.  :)

Sophie> Good morning AA Customer Services, how may I help you?
William> Hi, I am trying to start an M151 Ford Mutt.
Sophie> Okay, What model is it?
William> I am not sure I will have to check with Carlos.
Sophie> It might be the battery, can you open the bonnet?
William> Not really, as it appears to be a one piece moulding...

And if anyone wants to see the bits, there is a contents photograph here: https://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2021/08/empress-m151-ford-mutt.html
I have added a spade from the Empress Vietnam Stowage set. I have yet to decide on what to do about stowage.

 lol lol lol

My work once had a roadside repair deal with the manufacturers of our fleet and we were required to use it for the first couple of years with the new fleet. One day I broke down and called them. They put me through to the RACV who in turn rang a private contractor who…….eventually showed up. Very efficient system, especially considering we had RACV membership anyway. ::)

Getting the title to fit was an effort (it originally said "An Army I do not need for a War I am not interested in", and yes that is still grammatically incorrect).

The two ARVN pack, the ARVN crew pack and to give them some wheels (another) XM706.

This one might have visible crew (one of the M60 gunners is going to be using the rear hatch and gun ring and the shorter crewman in the turret).

I received the Hue book on Saturday.

Initial impression is that it is one of the better Osprey Campaign Books.
