Hello All,
We all know the great cycle of miniature life.
1. Buy the Minis
2. Paint the Minis
3. Play with the Minis
With that in mind, we got to play a Lion Rampant game of Rohan vs Haradrim. This was an all cavalry, and Oliphant, battle.
Here we have the two forces facing off across the great plain plains (pun intended) of Pelennor.

The fight saw heroic deeds by the King of Rohan. He and his bodyguard routed an Oliphant then nearly wiped out the Haradrim king's elite unit. Through multiple rounds of bloody combat both retinue were down to a few men. There was even a duel between the great kings. Which ended in a tie and was very disappointing from the cinematic POV. The director was not pleased.

But the charge of the Rohan king had left him isolated from the main army. An army that seemed befuddled at times, as if under an evil spell. Maybe a dark sorcerer was influencing the dice in the most despicable way.

The king was isolated and alone with no white wizard coming to help this time. Victory for the Haradrim.
The game was heavily influenced by the abysmal activation rolls of the Rohan army. 50% of the army never saw combat. Thier king was too deep in enemy lines to influence them. A great game was had and I thank all the players for taking part. It is always great to see all the work come together on the board.
I hope you enjoy
