Charley : I'm not goin' to my maker without knowin' your given name. Mine ain't Waite; it's Postelwaite. Charles Travis Postelwaite. What's yours? Sure ain't Boss.

[Boss hesitates]

Charley : I mean it, Boss. I'm asking you straight up.

Boss Spearman : It's Bluebonnet.

Charley : Bluebonnet?

Boss Spearman : Bluebonnet, yeah.

Charley : No middle name?

Boss Spearman : No, just Bluebonnet Spearman. And don't you tell no one. I want to hear you swear an oath now, go on.

Damn it Paul, I don’t need any more projects  lol

Seriously, if you plan on the breadth and depth that you are displaying with the Vietnam range, then this will be another winner...and one I’ll jump on board with

I can guarantee it will not be as large as the Vietnam range is and will be but it will be comprehensive and across the entire spectrum of Hollywood westerns including cavalry and Indians.

"Hollywood western" is a fairly broad term. I'm guessing Blazing Saddles might be included (and I would hope so), but what about independent films like Slow West? The laundry drying scene from the latter would make a great vignette, if a little difficult to incorporate in a game.

Take it as a very broad term. It will include all film and 'television' film. In short popular film western genre.

Not sure I have seen Slow West so I will have a look.

Did you know that John Wayne turned down the part taken by Gene Wilder of the Waco Kid. How different would that film have been.  lol

That is something I would be interested in, too. Cowboys and Indians ... needs some trecking farmers etc then for the occasional raid!!

I didn't know that, but think he did the right thing, though a lot more could have been made of the anomalous 'Kid' in the character's name.

I can highly recommend Slow West, which might be termed a post-modern western, I suppose. It's very different from Open Range, which, while excellent, is very traditional, and might have been made 50 years ago or more.
