Thanks.

Got the paneling done last night (lasered card) and the initial work on the aerofoils and engine room. The ribbing on the main hull  is going to be a faff but as it’ll be done from card it shouldn’t be too bad.

Once again lovely work, (Takes notes to steal the method later...)

Indeed lovely!

While no sincere compliment should be followed by a 'but,' the similar layout of Brigade Models digs always left me wishing for a connection on the top.

Maybe a walkway similar to found on pre-dreads...

Is there a term for that structure?

Got some troops and a little scout neff finished for my pirates privateers :D

Little bit of cavalry and an artillery piece or two and they’ll be good to go. Fortunately, the Perry Brazilians that I’m using for them have separate gun crew available which are pretty good for neff crews and the like 8)

Very cool! I really like the flag too, is it handmade?

Group design and the good Doctor of Death drew it up and then it was printed on normal paper. It's a stylised Aztec/Maya skull which we thought would be a good pirate emblem  :)

Cool Neff I like it, champion work, that’s the most uniform looking gang of privateers I’ve ever seen, the sculpts are great!

As other have said; that's a beautiful skiff...

How do you make normal paper wavy like that?

Thanks  :)

How do you make normal paper wavy like that?

The image was mirrored with a 5mm gap in between, it was then given a thin coat of watered down wood glue and folded around the pole. I used paintbrush handles next to each other but ‘weaving’ the flag in between them to get the wavy effect. Before it fully dries there’s an opportunity to move it around and make it more wavy (or even flatten it out a bit if necessary).

Hope that helps  :)

Its a wonderful model - contemplating making a liftwood troop barge for it to tow into action, or perhaps fitting one with a spar torpedo!
