I notice others have described this as "atmospheric" and that was my first reaction too. The pictures with the troop carriers reminded me strongly of news reports from when I was a child.

That's not a particularly Balczaki sounding name, now is it?

Depends on how you pronounce it. I mean Larry might be a diminutive of Lazarov and I don't know enough about Balczaki orthography to suggest how Kake is pronounced locally. But it is a semi-arid, windswept kind of place next to a menacing border isn't it?

OK everybody.  Let's settle down now...

It's time for another game set in Balczakistan.  It's scheduled for later today (Friday).  As usual, I'll post an illustrated AAR afterwards.

But first, the set up...

After the last fight, that Radio Free Balczakistan (RFB) photographer, who was shot but survived in that action, was able to get several good photographs of things.  Bad press for the provisional Balczaki government and a bit of a propaganda coup for the RFB and in turn the BFF.  RFB has their hands in broadcast media (radio and TV), as well as print media (the Balczaki Free Press).

Balczaki Authorities, particularly in the Office of Media relations, Information Directorate, Ministry of Internal Affairs are none too pleased.  They have issued an order to RFB to cease operations.  To back that order up, they are sending an Assistant Commissar and some goons, er, I mean National Police and Army troops, to the RFB Administrative Offices to enforce the order. 

Too bad RFB has a mole in the Office of Media Relations.  He or she got wind of the raid, and was able to warn RFB (albeit just barely in the nick of time).  While RFB staff couldn't vacate the premises in time, they were ready for the raid. So were several groups of innocent bystanders (OK, some maybe not so innocent...).
