Regarding Trent, maybe the effect ook f the passing of Du ucan Macfarlane?
That was sad news about Duncan. The Trent figures do seem to still be available here.
https://arcanesceneryandmodels.co.uk/product-category/trent-miniatures/Well remembered on those generals from CP models Traveller. They are rather good. I'd seen them before but forgotten where. Pity they don't do them mounted or just more of a range, the sculpting is great. Nice guy to buy from in past experience too.
FYI, you can definitely use some of the Perry plastics for the Revolutionary period, like their French Hussars, Austrian Cav. You need some basic conversion skills but all is possible, and easier in plastic!
Good tips. The Perrys do Bicorn heads too that might be useful.
I found a few more manufacturers too.
Old Glory have some Egypt figures
http://oldgloryuk.com/napoleon-in-egypt/9/68Their 1807 French might do as well. Are there significant changes in the uniform from the 1790s? Is it just the coat length? I've looked at pictures and nothing leaps out.
http://oldgloryuk.com/1807-infantry-in-campaign-dress/bicorn/9/29/106/105These victrix French infantry are the same and in plastic.
https://www.victrixlimited.com/collections/french-napoleonics/products/french-napoleonic-infantry-1804-1807I generally prefer metal as I like the heft but the new plastics are now very good and much easier to convert or kitbash.
I'd love to do this period but in smaller scales, 15/10 or 6mm
Any ideas on suppliers
I haven't done 15mm in ages, my eyes are too bad now. AB were very nice in those days but I can't remember if they did Revolutionary war. My club mates have done later Napoleonics in 28mm and it does get a bit crowded with big units. The depth is the biggest issue. Tables can be wider and deeper but arms to reach the middle don't get any longer.
