Thanks Gilbear.  It’s a colour I had used before much as well.  Quite pleased with the outcome to be honest, even if it does look a little like a public school day out……

Cheers Melnibonean.  Very kind compliments.  Basing is actually really simple.  The compound is sculptamold from hobby craft, tinted with powder paint.  Stones are added into the ground before it dries,  using pond gravel.  This lets them sit in the landscape rather than on it.  They are then flocked with dark, medium, and light flock in turn to give them depth, then tufts are added.
