Cheers guys.

So finally my order has arrived!  I’m in the process of finishing my pirate port buildings, but after that, I may get some guards finished off and painted and have a practice game with these.

I may have gone a bit overboard and will definitely have a sprue or two spare….off to eBay with those, but the models aren’t too shabby.

Will make a few minis up to compare with my existing guards and commandos…..

Looking forward to seeing that.  Though, knowing myself, it is highly likely I will get both the Brits and the Germans once WA releases them as separate sets.

Glimpse of an update…..

So not a huge fan of the plastics that came with the O2 sets….so lost a little impetus.

However, we have been getting busy with the sub pen.

Jamie has painted me a pair of mafinificent barracks huts

And is painting his way though my collection of subs.

I have just made a start on an industrial building having bought this rather lack lustre yet respectably large unit

Corrugated roof added and the under layer of brickwork.   Next up will be some plaster work and a bit of detailing.

Also have bought a few useful bits…..German harbour patrol boat, dockside crane etc……so moving in a bit, hopefully a better looking update soon…..

All in good time…not quite finished yet.

However one is an Empress miniatures…the other longer one a 3d print with swapped in metal parts from Empress.   I have another of those yet along with a couple of prototype noses from Empress.

Cheers fella.

Gable ends done today but biggest task to do yet with the wall plastering and making the doors look a bit more detailed.  I want a little more detail on the roof too.

Once this is done, I will make a start on the dockside proper.   I already have most of th3 materials collated.   I’m picking up the first two subs from Jamie this week so will try and get a few close ups soonest.     I may have to paint a few sailors first….

Ha!

Unfortunately the big one is one of two I bought from Highlands print, sorry fella! 😉

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334478443871?hash=item4de078055f:g:sd4AAOSwFZhiriuT

Your prototypes will be used as front sections dressing the pen.   I have however swapped out the clunky looking deck gun from the highlands print with your metal deck gun as it’s much better thanks.

All told, I will have three full subs out on water / alongside the quay, with two sub fronts in the pen….representing a total of five u boats.

Now I feed to find a supply of 1:60 torpedos….
