Thanks!  This is a toy made in China pirate ship which I converted into a RN ship.  Unfortunately, the demon face doesn't quite match!  Maybe I should call it the HMS Seawitch!!

Here's a second crew that could either be used as a merchant crew, or even (with appropriate characters) a pirate crew:

The Governor and his Lieutenants (that's Lef'tenants to you Yanks!)

Some generic scurvy seadogs

Thanks guys!

@Tim - yup, my RN figs are currently with Rob Broom.  That's why I had to paint this second generic crew - for our Pirates game this weekend!

These look great Dominic.  I think it's amusing that the Governor looks typically haughty, while his leftenants look worried.   :)

These look great, inspired me to find some great enemies for my pirates. Can you tell us what ranges they are from? I really like the Governor and Lieutenants and your seadogs. Where can I get them?

If I'm not mistaken, those are all Foundry figures.

Dominic paints the nicest, cleanest whites and reds I've ever seen. I've painted Lieutenant on the Right and didn't make him look nearly as nice as that!

The figures are stunning Dominic. The colours are wonderfully vibrant without being garish, a very difficult trick to pull off.

Thanks again for the kind comments!
The figs are all Foundry.  If I remember correctly, the Governor and Lieutenants are from the Treasure Island character pack.

Edit - oops!  This is Dominic using Prof's computer!!

Aaand the price for most outrageous threadomancy (almost three years!) goes to... midismirnoff.

Seriously, in the post right above you... all figures are Foundry. The above are probably from the American War of Independence series.
