You’ve got me thinking. In the English speaking world the Crimean War is barely remembered. In the popular imagination Florence Nightingale and just perhaps ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’ might be recalled. Despite their being several Crimean War ranges I’ve never seen a Florence Nightingale figure in this scale.

I didn't know much about it either. My interest in this topic began with Nakhimov. Even at school, they told me that Nakhimov was a talented leader, but I couldn’t understand exactly what he did. I had to look for information myself, read books and make a "scientific mission" to Sevastopol. Now I think that I can still tell a lot of interesting things on this topic.

When the first battle of Alma took place, there were a lot of wounded and the city infirmary simply could not accommodate everyone. The wounded were placed wherever it was possible. Mostly they were tents and bedding made of straw.

Subsequently, the following medical support system was built
 Yellow and red zone. Zheltaya is an advanced dressing station (for the first time, there could be doctors here - they were not at the collection point for the wounded. Although Pirogov sometimes came against all the rules to these points). Krasnaya is the main dressing station (there were four of them). Then - hospitals (two). Then - rear hospitals (1,2,3 lines). And, finally, permanent (indispensable) hospitals - in the depths of the empire.

In general, the goal of medicine was to provide Christian assistance (shelter, food and warmth), and not to return the wounded to the ranks upon recovery. Wounds to the head and body are usually fatal. In the arm or leg - amputation.

First there will be several figures of divers, then sailors. The figure of Admiral Kornilov will be an equestrian figure. I will photograph the manufacturing process in detail. (It is not surprising, but the admiral on horseback commanded the sailors and naval artillery firing from the bastions.)

In general, let's dive into the probable past. In Balaklava, in one of the cafes, I came across a photo of a diving suit, which was taken from one of the British transports. The ship crashed on the same night as the Black Prince. The diving suit was brought to blow up the flooded Russian battleships at the bottom. The enemy had plans to clear the fairway and go to the roadstead of Sevastopol. So .... they meet an enemy diver - two of ours who went out of their coastal underwater cave .....
