Yes, once I've done the weaving and stuck the end down with a dab of superglue,  I brush a 50:50 pva/water mix over it.

It's important to have the string slightly slack as the pva and string contract slightly as they dry.

Can wash or paint as desired once it's dry.

Past couple of weeks I've been concentrating on getting a useable celtic/ancient/fantasy farmstead together.

Predominantly scratch built with the exception of the Warlord Games farm animals and the trees which were built and gifted to me by a friend.

Saw this picture by Michael Franchina as part of his Trench Crusade world and wanted to kitbash a reasonable facsimile, along with more miniatures that could fit into this setting.

I wondered to our local games store who holds huge stocks of second hand miniatures, the most battered of which can be had for a quid or less.

I stocked up with a motley collection of Orks, Space Marines, Stormcasts and Admech.

Combined with my bits box I put him together and got him painted yesterday - not perfect by any means but I like him.

And here I have another kitbash with rather a lot of greenstuff used. I need to work on my clothing technique but if you don't start you'll never get anywhere.

Mix of Stormcast Eternal miniature with a Space Marine Arm and a claw from an Adeptus Mechanicus power claw.

Also needed a Jetpack Orc for tonight's club game of Grimdark Future Firefight so made one from a standard Orc and bits from other models I got cheap at the shop.

He is painted now but I've not got a picture yet.

Only limited productivity over the past month as lots of other stuff got in the way.

I made some bases for trees so that the overall impression is more forest like; these were just an old mousemat playmat cut into shapes then sand/woodglue mix, a bit of cheap craft paint and some flocks added.

Strangely, as I cut out the pieces, they all curled up at the edges so I ended up adding the sand to the reverse but the long straight strips I've cut for dirt roads remained flat.

I've also expanded my Ork Kommandos for Grimdark Future Firefight with the addition of a Dethkopter made from the insides of a Flash spray bottle, a volume knob from a guitar and bits from the bits box.

(What's the betting he gets taken out in the first turn next week!!!).
