I know it's picking about a range of anthropomorphized animals, but the clothing style is a bit all over the place... top hats and chainmail

Yeah, I found it odd when the kickstarter came out.

However, i don't play, just enjoy painting the miniatures, so am less fussed.

I also have a few anthropomorphic sculpts from other manufacturers that don't quite match but will live on the same shelf.

Built and primed a number of figures for painting, which will allow me breaks from building my Wizard's mobile home in the Build Something contest.

Will also be kitbashing and sculpting a regiment for Turnip 28, but in a break from tradition, I will be creating a separate thread for that.

4 Centaurs from a box of very cheap Tehnolog miniatures, working out at less than 34 pence per model including postage and packing.

Finally, inspired by Constable Bertrand, a Bretonian Knight which I want to practice chequered barding on.

A bretonnian night! He looks glorious already ;)  8)

Start with the light colour, pencil in some squares, and have at it :)

Thanks. I was a bit confused on where exactly to start.

Listen to the man!  :D

If I may add,
get a bit of thin card/thick paper. Lay it where you want the line to go & use it as a ruler.
Also worth doing what cake decorators do. e.g. when putting rosettes on the top of a cake.
Put one at 12.00 O'Clock, the next at 6.00 O'Clock (Opposite) the third at 3.00 O'Clock (between
12 & 6.)  Much easier to get an even spread. Do something similar with your lines, both
horizontal and vertical.
When filling in the squares I find it easier to use fine,  or brush, point pens.
Good luck

The Build Something Comp and loads of games playing have kept me too busy to do much other stuff.

However, me and a mate are really getting into our weekly battles of Void Admiral but were short of some terrain features.

So I've quickly bodged a few things together to create them - less than 2 hours start to finish.

Thin but sturdy card, prime in aerosol matt black primer, dry brush colours to match different areas of the mat and add stars.; ended up doing both sides so there's more variety.

With nothing place on them they are Gas Clouds.

Very clever.  I do like the bases and the ion storm is inspired.

Great stuff! That's similar what I like to do for my miniatures games, too. A nice flocked or attractive irregular piece of styrene, MDF, whatever with appropriate three dimensional pieces on top. Great ideas for spaceship games...!

Just read through the entire thread - absolutely stunning work. I am more drawn towards the fantasy stuff, but those space ships and sci-fi peripherals are amazing.
