For now a quick paint job on a Shoretrooper … according to the Visual Reference Guide from Rogue One, the light blue paint on the chest plate denotes an officer.

Setting
My project will be set post-Return of the Jedi so basically around the time of the Mandalorian. I like the look/feel of the TV series spin-offs (plus Rogue One which is obviously set earlier) so everything will look a bit grubby/worn out rather than shiny new. Basing it on a backwater desert planet if nothing else because my other two current? projects (Game of Thrones & 1980s After The Bomb) are both covered in snow.

Figures
My project will be centred around the Star Wars Legion range they may be pretty much incompatible with every previous range of SW minis or indeed 99% of other existing sci-fi ranges, but they are bloody lovely plus the possibilities now offered by 3D prints are huge.

Rules
When I get around to playing will start off with FFOL Galactic Heroes until I need something that can handle a lot more figures.

Nice! I’m a fan of the post empire / remnant stuff, looks a bit more beat up and worn! Nice job on the shore trooper

Ilove Stormies, but I absolutely adore the Shore troopers, great place to start and get the juices flowing.

Looking forward to seeing lots more.

Thanks everyone  :)

A few regular stormtroopers … picked these up from fleabay painted, just a bit of minor touching up, rebased them and added a light dusting of grime

Thanks Nick.

Finished another shoretrooper this morning over coffee … really enjoying painting these.

Group shot so far

Have ordered a corellian freighter’s worth of extra figures…

I’m not even going to pretend that this will be a small project for me.
Good luck.

Nice work.

I am on my own Star Wars journey with a hypothesized desert planet that also has bits of forest and swamp.

As to rules, when you need bigger games you can stay in the Fistful of Lead family and just use Bigger Battles.  That is my plan.

Cheers all.

Managed to get some droids painted today.

These are all non-Legion metal minis that I’ve repurposed … the hover one is from Hydra …the large one is from Judge Dredd, and IIRC the wheeled ones are from Crooked Dice?

Have already decided that I’m going to have some sort of salvage/scrap dealer in the game, plus some big bits of debris … sort of Jakku- esque.

Have also recieved some sample 3D printed figures in the post, which I’ll base up and add to the paint queue - the quality is excellent  8)

Yup, I expect I’ll migrate to the FFOL Bigger Battles in time.  :)
