Warhammer Day and The Old World news...
« on: October 11, 2023, 06:04:57 PM »
I didn't see any front page posts about the upcoming Warhammer Day and news that it will bring for The Old World, or much TOW discussion at all.

I only played WHFB briefly in the mid 00's and nowadays play Frostgrave and Oathmark. I'm so out of the loop that I just learned about TOW releasing but I'm looking forward to it. I'm a little letdown by some specific lists not being included in the narrative (at least initially), but am already considering what my painting project for this game will be.

Interesting to see a lot of the sculpts for core troops are the same as for the final version of Bretonnians in WFB before AoS. I’m happy that those will be  available again. I’m a bit ambivalent about the new sculpts for character figures. They seem to be in the newer style GW uses - so many tiny details and parts…

I’m hoping the high elves and wood elves get a similar re-release, the AoS elves don’t appeal to me but I would be in the market for the older, simpler figures.

Kept all our empire and chaos. Still very occasionally play 4th edition with son.
Hope new range will match with old figures.
