Desert planet Sci-fi gubbins: police added 08/02
« on: 28 December 2024, 08:37:18 PM »
I’ve been mucking about making some sci-fi gubbins to convert my desert terrain to use it in sci-fi games

There’s more details over on me blog if you can be bothered to go and have a look  lol

Looks great aircav, very space opera and star wars friendly.

I like how the roof domes came out, I didn't know they were separate till I read your blog, they look seamless. The moisture comms towers work perfectly. I think you nailed the look. A bit more scatter crates maybe, but it looks perfect for space port fights.

I did the same thing as the versatility of the terrain to do double duty is just too rewarding. I've got western, post apoc, and space terrain just by changing a few scatter pieces.

Looks great aircav, very space opera and star wars friendly.

I was just about to say very 'galaxy far, far away...'

Aircav said 'a bit more Star Wars than Doctor Who though' which all can agree right up until we notice that strange, dark blue outbuilding. I didn't say 'outhouse...'

I did the same thing as the versatility of the terrain to do double duty is just too rewarding. I've got western, post apoc, and space terrain just by changing a few scatter pieces.

Pedant to the end, I will say that's triple duty, and too right! Even some of the scatter can be multiple, especially if weathered enough.

Aircav, you stated the goal was material at hand (visit to the blog was NO bother) and 'this goal was achieved.'

...with really fun results.

Thanks for sharing!

Looks great! I agree -- terrain and scatter should maximize compatibility with as many periods or sagas as possible.
