Thanks everyone  :D

That all looks good.  And you're right - plenty of troops to act as umbushers and/or ambushees.

Any Indians, per chance?

Funnily enough, no indians so far... but on the list... just because

Thanks mate... honestly, this is just the rebased/repainted/reflagged bunch... the "todo" queue is about three to four times this size (as a minimum) when you take the Continentals into account as well ... still plenty more Brits needed, and the Hessians to sort, plus a scary number of Colonials.

Again, the vast majority have been painted for me by others, or collections that i've picked up that fit with my end goal... some of the latter need a bit of TLC, but i always find it easier to work on figures that someone has already started, if that makes sense?  It also frees me of the shackles of having to churn out everything... i can spend a weekend building wagons or camp followers without thinking that i should really be prepping another battalion of redcoats.

My goal is to be able to refight Brandywine in time for the 250th anniversary, but i also want lots of other "shiny" extras as i'd love to have a whole "what-if" campaign.

Much more to follow  :)

A few more retouched & rebased troops for the King's forces... this time a cloud (?) ... or screen (?)... of skirmishers

Finished painting another model from scratch today...this time a Perry's British Supply wagon

And a couple of group shots... enjoying painting these

Going to write some simple campaign rules, and protecting supplies will be a feature...plus I like the idea of wagons clogging up the roads  :D

Re: AKULA's 28mm AWI Project - Corn

A slight diversion into agriculture...

I was going to "plant my corn" on smaller modular bases, which would allow individual bases of troops to be dropped into the middle of a corn field, but tbh I prefer the look of large swathes of corn.

Instead, i'll also be making some smaller scatter pieces, so if a unit ventures into a field, i can just remove the main module, and replace with a bit of scatter.

Thanks both

Very interesting.  How are these made?

They are from a firm called JTT... i've just added them to a base, textured and then painted

 :)

Managed to finish another Perry ammunition /supply wagon ... the hot weather is definitely shortening drying times... although not always in a good way
