Methinks we might be taking the matter far too seriously.  Next we'll be arguing the merits of composition versus painting quality versus photography and the fact that your British have 1860 equipment while the red dye never faded to that shade of pink until 1892.

I exaggerate, but there you go.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Next we'll be arguing the merits of composition versus painting quality versus photography...

That's not an exaggeration. That one has been done to death already. What gets my hackles up is that these kind of discussions (in all their tedious variations - there's some fresh 'unfairness' to whine about every week it seems) always seem to boil down to the same thing: Someone else telling me how I ought to be spending my vote. I do not presume to tell anyone else how to vote, and would appreciate being extended the same courtesy.

Relax, enjoy the nice sunny weather (at least here in the northern part of the Netherlands it's fine spring weather) and enjoy all the entries :)

Voting is very personal if you ask me and that's how it should be. Everybody has their own set of criteria and an order in these, a new entry might be important (for me it certainly is), each of us has their own taste in manufacturers, periods, historical/non-historical, surroundings, painting style, scale... and in my opinion that's what keeps a forum like this interesting 8)

Agreed. Now that's enough on the matter, lads. Thank you.

Sorry if I shocked someone with my comments... I understand your point of view now. The right to vote includes the right not to vote ... got it 8)

Sorry again...

Sorry if I lost my rag a bit there, Calimero.

Who knew I was so passionate about democracy, eh? Surprised myself there.  :)

Right ... With all the "reallife" troubles sorted (more or less) it is time to get painting again ! Those pigs have had way to much time in the spotlight  :D

I'm hoping to get something painted in time for round 9, maybe I'll still make it to the top 5 then  lol

Well what a sod! I was hoping to get round nine finished but a pot of thinners has just put paid to that  :( (stupid bloody loud phone, stupid bloody stupid place to put the thinners and stupid bloody hands full of thumbs that dropped it)

It was originally going to be my round one entry and I was going to call it "Conan the 'better late than never' Barbarian"

Well, I'll get the rest done soonish and post them up  :(

cheers

James

You have been brought up with better manners than me. My recent disaster brought forth stronger words, which I had to edit because the webserver  started to smell like ozon.

If I were clever lol,for the last round, the VSF round. I would build a model time machine and use all my previous entrys, photograph them altogether caught in Doctor Sinister's time trap (a large very clean fish bowl). Sort of LAF through the ages. However I'm not clever and I'm doing something else.................. ???
