A return to the Empire - update (4/10) - Abandoned Gatehouse

3 more Marauder dwarves, all unconverted. The one with the sword and pistol is a much underrated (and underused) figure. I don't think I've ever seen one painted and it isn't as sought after as the MM15 set, but it's still pretty good.

A minor update. Not a new paintjob, but another touch up of an old one to bring it closer in line with my current standard, without going for a full repaint.

This figure is slightly converted (original one was golding a lantern, which I replaced with a sword) and based on a DSA figure by Werner Klocke (now available through Ral Partha Europe):

Also, those dwarfs got some mighty big guns! =D Like the pistoleer a lot!

some work on face and hands, some highlights on clothing (though apparently the camera didn't capture it very well), some subtle woodgrain on crossbow and highlights on the crossbow um... string thingy, highlighting of the brown leather (except the boots).

We have her around here somewhere... I really should dig her out and paint her.  I had not seen a picture of a painted version - she looks good!  As always, thanks for sharing!

I think it's a smashing model - always refreshing to see female models that look like proper soldiers/warriors and not tarts and harlots.
