* Has vision of diorama with one orc with pants down, gripping a branch of a tree next to him for support (I have just the figure, with some converting), and another orc behind him... *  :o

Um... no... let's not go there perhaps.

Please do! =D Nothing like a little sodomy...

Really liking your approach to orc skin btw... nice high lighting, and splendid sculpting on the pipe smokeR.

I always thought Orcs were fungus based creatures!  ;)

Such can be the consequences of substance abuse if you're an orc!

What about something along these lines?  :D

Oh, that's what you meant...  ::)  lol

I wanted my orcs to be green, because I'm a traditionalist, but I also wanted that green to look like a skintone and not a green bodypaint and these shades seemed to do that for me. :)

Yeah its a nice green - afraid I'm a stickler for the more lurid end of the green spectrum for my little orcses!  :D

Perhaps the pic's not too clear but I was also suggesting that what might be next could be something along the lines of the two snotties (centre of the pic) suffering from a wee drink or two!

Less eye-watering than the conversion you mentioned earlier!  ;)

Yes, I did figure out what you meant with the picture. :)

But now that I've thought about it, there is a certain irresistable appeal to it... :o

Sorry - thought my chavvy, lime green snotties had distracted you into talking about skintones!  :D

Although your snotlings made me imagine a unitfiller of an orc lying on his back and a goblin propped up to his side, both drunk and with an empty keg on it's side with the last few drops dripping onto the ground. I'll do that one first perhaps, it's less shocking. ;)

Sounds great - I think you would also need a half-drowned snottie inside the barrel too!

Talking about shocking - what about that Scibor vignette with the amorous Dwarf and Goblin that surfaced on Frothers some time ago as another filler...  ;)

Interesting idea about the snottie. Will think about it.

That scibor vignette is just sick though.  ;)

No I was using craft paints. Avocado for the basecoat and shadows and artichoke for the second coat, after that artichoke mixed with old GW rotten flesh for highlights (the old paints, that are now coat d'arms). On the first ones there was an intermediary step between the first coats which was a mix of avocado and current gw camo green, but I skipped it on the last ones (partly because the gw paint is drying up on me as they always do).

Inbetween adding new painted troops to the army, I've also taken to touching up the old ones, as my painting style and level has evolved greatly. I'm not going for a perfect match as that would require a complete repaint, but getting them close enough so they don't stand out on the table when put next to eachother. Latest one to get the treatment is my old helblaster:

This is what they looked like before (and the picture was flattering):
