Ah just realised that after I posted silly me.

Might be worth checking out some of the Franco Prussian war figures for more dress type uniforms

I have lots of Gangters and coppers mostly a mix of TVAG, Brigade and West wind with odds and sods mixed in.

I havent gone for Troops as yet

The New York City draft riots (July 13–16, 1863; known at the time as Draft Week[2] were violent disturbances in New York City that were the culmination of working-class discontent with new laws passed by Congress that year to draft men to fight in the ongoing American Civil War. The riots remain the largest civil insurrection in American history, aside from the Civil War itself

...and soon eascalated into a riot where the mob attacked, burned and looted anything related to the establishment. especially targeting coloured people. At Newspaper Row, across from City Hall, Henry Raymond, owner and editor of The New York Times, averted the rioters with Gatling guns, one of which he manned...
