Yes, Fairy Liquid is a brand of dishwashing soap. The sort that comes in a squeezy bottle and is for hand-washing dishes in the sink, rather than in a machine.

I wouldn't bother with the hands... Japanese have short arms anyway.   :D

Sculpting is one thing I don't even think about.

But as said before, for a first go, it's a darn fine start.   :-*

Looks great Jim.
The face/head is great and I think the face is a lot harder to do than the hands.
I am sure you will have no bother with the hands.
Are you going to get these cast or are you going to make the rest out of green stuff?

I have the VSF bug this weekend  :D

I found a little flying contraption that I started at uni in a box in the attic and decided to finish for my Japanese. An Admiral's personal launch no-less  :)

I made this with a view to casting it in the late 90s and never, ever got round to it. When I did it, I was a bit keen on getting it out of the mould (and slightly inexperienced) and the silicon hadn't gone off. Nothing to detrimental but there are places where you can tell (under the main hatch for one).

But never mind  :D It'll certainly do for gaming with...

I did think about putting a small lewis gun or the equivalent but I think that would be a bit over the top so I stuck with the cannon out the front  :D

No name for it yet but I thinking about it...

cheers

Hadn't seen this thread before....VSF not being somewhere I normally tread as it looks darn complicated!

Only two fully finished  :( but another on the bench ready for a lick of paint tomorrow  :D (I'm liking this double bank holiday malarky).

Not yet but I think I will do since all the interest  :)

Thanks chaps, I have another 15 figures to finish off then I'm going to order some more from Copplestone  :D and another walker to do (maybe have a family photo set up tomorrow ??? )
