I do not play SOTR so I don't know what exactly you need but I think you can look on ebay fo AT43 mech models like this:
http://cgi.ebay.it/AT-43-U-N-A-DEFENDER-SNAKE-nib-/220663574550?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item336092f016
or
http://cgi.ebay.it/AT-43-UNA-FIRE-CRAWLER-UNIT-BOX-/220670990333?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33610417fd

With the right colour scheme they will be british as the queen is.

A second for the AT-43 models.

I am not too fond of the SotTR versions.
Their ground pounders are great...
 Mechs....  not so much.

Here we have 2 british light mechas I converted, the problem is that I dont have any british miniatures to acompany them, I gueas I could get som paras later on.

My story is that the aircraft company De Havilland won a military contract to produce a light weight mecha that would be able to be droped from the air. They are therefore constructed in aluminium (you can se the silvery color were the paint is damaged), two small jetengines from De Havilland is mounted on the back of the mecha do alow it dropp from air and give it a limited ability do do jumps on the battle field. Its not able to do a regular flying as they lack a large enough gasoline tank.

They are painted and marked acording to RAF standard. They are equiped with a light assault rifle for self defense and a larger primary weapon. One of them is equiped with a larger .50cal version of the famous Bren gun (1/35 is to big for 28mm) and the outher one is equiped with a dubble bareled belt fed version of the Vickers K machinegun http://www.justordinarymen.org.uk/custom/Vickers_G.O..jpg

They are intended to be used in Secrets of the third reich.

When I was painting these I noticed that I was humming the melody  to "Iron man", so I cant be totaly sane…
The original model is from a Japanes toy/model.

Yep. SF3D or MaK, depending on how/when you discovered the setting (they're both the same setting, it's just that there were some nasty legal issues in the 80s that forced the latter name)

Hmm, the most british engineering looking; Have you thought about warzone's imperial walker? Very cartoony but very british. I think it is currently distributed by Prince August.

If you want something smaller but bigger than a 28mm soldier, our British Dreadnoughts may be of use to you

And this coming from a canadian?

 ;)

Mr Castle does make exceeding good mechs, you really want something not too manga but also, and although I know what you mean, not too VSF or T.M.R  (Too Many Rivets! :D).

Personally, I'd go with the firetoads etc... I've used Warzone vaulkan mechs for my german stuff, but not sure if they would cross over well for allied forces, worth a pop. Also the old kyromek Striders, (AT-AT's) might work. Alternatively kitbash a 1/50 scale tank with some mech legs or look to the new DUST boxed set that has a couple of those sherman based mechs that look very nice indeed.

Finally got a break in between WWII comic projects...

We should know. After all, as a Dominion of the British Empire, we did use British equipment. We were all in the same boat together. We even built Valentines for Soviet Russia. On the plus side, it was good fortune that Sam Hughes was long dead, or who knows what horrors we would have had to use.
