Looking good Dave. What nation will this be for and do you mind if I shoot it down anyway?  ;)

Could be British .... or Prussian .... or American .... or Feench .... or Japanese .... or maybe some entirely different owner  ;)

In other words, I think I'll keep you all guessing forr the time being  :D

After much punching of 2mm discs for rivets, the deck house is almost finished and the side sponsons have been fitted to the hull:

Deck house detail:

The next stage will involve adding a smokestack, mast and other detailing to the deckhouse. After that I need to build a tailplane.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Good design Dave, I like it!

I know you're going to paint it but with the current colour scheme and all those rivets it looks like a Pearly King.  :)

Just a quick updat on this project.

Real life (whatever that is) seems to have got in the way of achieving much progress, so no new pictures yet. However, I have:

* Completed the deck house and fitted it to the deck.

* Started converting an existing smaller aeronef model to be this bird's companion.

* Fitted some new heads (from Woodbine/Gripping Beast) to an assortment of Old Glory Boxer Rebellion naval gun crew and Parroom naval landing party to give me sufficient sailors additional sailors to crew both vessels.

Next jobs:

* Make the fore and aft gun platforms for the new nef and fit a new fore gun position to the old converted nef.

* Assemble and paint all the deck guns.

* Paint the sailors.

* Sort out the tail arrangement for the new nef.

* Paint both nefs.

That should keep me busy foe a while  :o
