Just saw this on TGN looks pretty awesome http://www.creativegamescapes.dreamhosters.com/.  I'm surprised it took this long for a product like this to be released.  Looks like it's going to be supported with expansions also.

I was looking at that last night. Looks awesome. Just wish there were more rooms in the set, or that you could buy the rooms separately.

Very awesome! It is a bit low on rooms for non-Space Hulk games as the trojan bunny pointed out, maybe they'll be released separately later on

Am I reading that right? It says it's 44.45 mm squares, which would fit the 1.5 inch Heroclix bases right? This might be a cheaper alternative than buying the overly inflated prices on the old MK:D 3D dungeon tile sets

Mr Mighty, having a look at the sprues It looks like you could convert corridors in to rooms without too much hassle, although I have to agree that it is a little expensive still.

It is a nice set, feels a bit too space hulk focused for me, but I would still have a set or two!

Might suit a Fallout vault type thing as well!

HeroClix will fit quite nicely, as 1.5 inch is only 38 mm. I'm building my own Space Hulk set using Hirst Arts blocks, but if I hadn't started with that some years ago, I just might have tried this - in a way it's such an obvious product!

they are awesome, and i already linked them to my scifi fan friend.


but i don't understand why is so hard to make this kind of sets. i can use a bit 3d modelling programs, and you can manage to make a model like this in a few days.

why don't they invest a bit more to make more and more sprues?

I have heard from two different sources in industry that terrain simply doesn't sell well, requiring high pricing for the few sales or a dedicated loss-leader.  I don't understand.  I enjoy kits like the Platformer, Hexagon, ChemPlant, etc.

I don't go for the huge FW domed colony though.  I would think that simple, vac-formed space opera walls and floors would do well.

Right on both accounts. Only takes up some space - my complete space hulk game is stored in 2 plastic boxes of approx. 75l.
Although, I haven't made all expansion pieces.

Another reason is because molds for plastics are really expensive. It's like the sculpting and mold-making budget for everything we've produced so far just to make one set of molds.

I think I'm going to order a set, but it's just too plain for my tastes. I hope they do some room filler and different floor textures in the future. Some kind of pro-grip tiled floors and walls with pipes/conduits/bulkheads like an actual ship would be more my thing.
