Forget the 28mm mini, can we have a 1/1 scale figure for comparison in the next pic?  ;D

Good idea, but only if she's a 6 or an 8  ;D

What I love about your stuff is that you clearly have lost the plot!

Amazing stuff- I can see why you had to ditch the VBCW battle ship.

Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

I often think of doing insane things like this and then realise that I would never use them and wiser thoughts prevail.................

So long as we don't get to see those pictures, that's fine.

Quick update:

Have started work on the CIC (ie the Bridge).

This is just the lower level, there will be steps leading up to another level, with handrails, looking down upon the central tactical display.

Wanted to check the LED light pads i'm using, both to see if they gave the effect i was after, and also how much heat they put out.

The addition of some red acetate, and suddenly the ship is set to Condition 1 (Red Alert) - in the final model, the acetate will be set back, so that it doesn't melt, or warp.

The resin consoles are from Antenocitis Workshop - i've added some plasticard to the central display, and stuck another lightpad under it.  Have also raised up the instrument display, from the stand underneath, both to let some light leak through, but also to let the heat from the LEDs have somewhere to go.

The lights aren't cheap, but its 36 LEDs for £30.  As you can see, they come in 4 pads of 9 each, but the big plus for this project, is that all the wiring is done, and they plug into a single central point, which in turn it plug powered, with a long cord.

B&Q have started selling them.  You can also get foot long strips with 12 LEDs on, which can be linked up in series (which is what i've used for the hangar bay).  Someone good with wiring will doubtless say they could have done it for a fraction of the price, but I wanted something off the shelf, which was robust, and easy to disassemble, as the wiring will run down the line of the hull, which is in sections.
