Works for me!

P.S. That has to be the most realistic-looking oversized axe that I have seen on a fantasy figure for quite some time!

Hi Spooktalker, man have I been following your thread and blog with interest for some time now, you are a painter after my heart, such awesome old school Grenadier goodness! I bought a Superior Paladin off of ebay because of you; I hope to show him off soon.

Keep up the awesomeness!

Dammit man! Your colours are so vibrant! I love the Cockatrice, I have never seen this mini, though the 90's Grenadier minis are nice, I really prefer the 80's sculpts.

Great stuff,
 Damien

p.s. As per the knight, I have your colours stuck in my mind (which I think are perfect) I have to wait till I can figure out which other colours I can use.

Thanks! Me too, I think it's hard to argue against the notion that the Grenadier high point and golden age was in the eighties. By the nineties they were trying to tap the GW market.

As for the knight, oddly enough I've got another one here and I'm thinking of a scheme too. I cut the wings off this one to make him a bit different (sacrilege, I know!). We can see who gets the next one posted first.  ;) Honestly I think he'd look good in a wide range of colors.. Blue tunic, sea green, red... and lots of options for complimentary colors in the shield.

Thanks! Cool, throw some up here and I'll keep an eye out for them. :)

He looks fantastic, I'd love to sculpt one!

Oh please do. You'd do an awesome job I'm sure Andrew.

I thought I had commented on the cockatrice. Really nice work. I'm after a good cockatrice (no comments on that remark please)
