I should apologise but I got so wrapped up in these great games I only took a few photos - I'll leave Paul to post some more

My replacement lancers arrived today. Ack! What dire castings, they're going in a pile until I get to a show where I'll be getting a refund for this shit. No right hands ffs! And the figures are the wrong size for the rest of the range as they've been taken from the Sudan range as well. I really can't be bothered any more. No more Redoubt for me.

I do hope Paul that you get back to Redoubt and tell them that these castings are unacceptable not only to you but for any customer who maybe unaware of this issue. Surly they must be aware when they pack these miniatures just what state they are in!

Nice work on your project.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,
Helen

Paul, I'm sorry to see that you've had issues with the Redoubt castings, but those Lancers do look very poor.
I've recently painted a load of their F&IW figures, which were mostly very good, crisp and clean. The one or two exceptions were dire though I'd have to say, notably a Ranger with only half a face. I agree with Helen, you need to press this with the Company or others might have the same experience.

I've written to them about it but without redoing the moulds which is expensive I don't see a solution for them.
I have/had extensive Redoubt collections, Zulu, FFL, FIW, Boxer Rebellion, Napoleonic Naval, ACW, Sudan and more and I'm very disappointed with the current state of the Zulu line.
Hopefully things will improve.

A sort of game reports but mostly some waffle about the hows and whys of the rules. Plenty of nice pictures though.

It looks great!

How well do the cork walls stand up? Did you use standard cork tiles, or something a bit thicker and more durable?

Thank you Paul for your report on the game mechanics. They read well and it seems from your report that it can be a very surprising contest.

Cheers,

Helen

The treadmill continues...
Mounted infantry, Durnford and some Natal Carbineers and a few Frontier Light Horse. (They're not varnished yet because the cats are sleeping on my varnishing table so the horses are shiny.)

@Rob cork stands up very well, I use standard 4mm floor tiles, not noticeboard cork, it doesn't work.
