Alright, this "lying" bit has gone of the rails a bit. Eric, Italians have a small tendency to be rather elaborate with the word. As you and me might get a bit offended by the accusation, for them (and many mediterranians countries) it's not a strong word.
San
Ahaha, good point ;)

But it's not me the one who had to do the pledge manager. If i was, and if i said something like this, and if i failed in my goal, i could be called liar. ;)
No, you would be called a fool, a person who failed in his obligations and much more. But not a liar. A liar would know that the information is wrong, but gladly spreads the word anyway.
You get my point?

The delay suits me, to be honest.  My Sedition Wars figures have been sitting assembled and primed since the start of the year, while I concentrated on other projects (OK, Kickstarters).  This gives me a chance to spend a month or two finishing them and get my lead pile down below 50 figures before a tidal wave of Reaper minis hits :)

Then I'll have the best part of six months to deal with Reaper minis before Deadzone...

Does having an unpainted lead pile of less than 50 minis count as "living dangerously"? ;)

yep, sorry if there has been a misunderstanding about. Lie to me means saying something that is false knowing that, nothing more. ^_^

mmm, yep, i really understand this. So the only thing that makes them liars (IMHO, of course) is the fact that when they knew about the delay in the containers, they didn't tell us until the last container has shipped. Again, not terrible.

Me too, actually. I've so much to do in this months. Still, that's a bit irritating ;)

Guys, just be happy to get the stuff. This "lying" - discussion seems all things considered rather pointless. I can understand if people are unhappy about delays. And obviously the word "lie" has a different connotation in different cultures so let's leave it at that.

I've pledged for the otherworld dungeon party, which was due in January or February and today it's the end of May. In fact I'm desperately waiting for the stuff because I'm working on yet another project and wanted to use these miniatures in it. I am a bit miffed but then again I think how fast would I actually be? Probably a lot more unorganized. So actually I'm just happy to hopefully get them this summer.

it might be interesting to see the diffusion of the kickstarter projects over time: after the boom will come the "delusion", where people will understand that 1/2 year of waiting is rather normal with that kind of offers. :)

I pledged at a low amount for this and mine arrived a couple of months ago, only because I got the pack of the barbarian, monk, Druid and ranger. They are very cool though. You'll be happy with the, definitely.

Propably, but at the moment we still have a Kickstarter Bubble that strongly reminds me of the Dotcom Bubble 10 years ago. Future KS-Projcts will suffer in reputation because of the the ill-planned funding projects we see now. Nothing that bothers me,.... all this "Buy now or never again!" "Only available for funders!" mentality belong to a retail system I never liked anyways.

I was thinking the same thing... People with no actual skills in logistics, management, accounting or the manufacturing chain are letting people down left and right with the quoted times and even going so far as to kick start another project before shipment was completed on the last one! I think the site is an amazing idea but is being miss used and abused often.

I think this is the biggest dislike I have for KS campaigns by some companies. If you haven't finished delivering product for a previous campaign it's sort of bad form (in my opinion) to be running another one.

I do hope to see my vampire pledge stuff show up soon!

I like the mantic stuff but they are on tot the third kickstarter and haven't finished the first yet. More people have received the second ks than the first!

Any Australians received their boxes yet?

Not getting anxious, just curious.

As a kiwi, I haven't but things are apparently starting to move again now. Not sure what I'm going to do with all the minis, I may have to sell off my nethyrmaul for lack of space.

The last update said that the containers from China had now arrived and they were working almost round the clock to catch up, so I'm thinking they'll be sent out over the next month or so.

Cheers guys, i haven't been keeping up with the updates. i guess mine will be delayed a bit anyway as i couldn't resist the "Mind your Manors" +$10 option. Can't wait to see all the kitbashing that goes on when they finally do arrive.

I understand that frustration, but at the same time it's pretty rare that everyone on a team works on every stage of producing a mini. You have artists which do their work, then sculptors do theirs, then the casters make them up, and people box them up and ship them out. Once the sculptors and artists are done with their part, there is no reason to wait around before getting started on something new while the rest of the production chain is busy, especially if actual production is being subbed out to another company. If you wait till you get everything drawn, sculpted, cast, boxed and shipped out then you'll have a lot of people with a lot of dead time and a longer period between a new release hitting your door.
