Wow, amazing work!

Thanks - this is quick and dirty scenery prep!

I have just decided that I don't have enough tombs and graves so I've ordered some more with a plea to Andy from Ainsty to try and get them this week...

One the paths are in I can decide on a small hedge or trees for some more cover - it is a bit too open at the moment.

Lovely!

I fancied doing a fantasy grave yard game myself when Renedra released their plastic set.  ;D

My ordered bits and pieces from Ainsty came very quickly - many thanks to Andy who also threw in some extra stuff as well!

Keith (from ArmiesArmy) came over for a test session and we managed to play 3 games with Keith taking the Threshold and me playing the Lurkers.

We played through:

1) Body Snatchers
2) The Restless Dead
3) The Devil's Hopyard

The Threshold team consisted of:

Professor Arklington, Max Durham (with tommy gun) and "Lucky" Luke Colham.

In all the games Max Durham was eliminated from the table, with a minor injury in games 1 and 3 but with a Major Injury in Game 2.  Keith managed to roll Double 6 and added Heroic as a skill.

Game 3 was close but I realise now that only 5 cultists isn't enough to win that scenario as a lurker - you need some basic 1BP cultists to sacrifice themselves.  In the event, the Professor was shot as he walked through the graveyard gate and eliminated with a minor injury in the first turn.  The remaining Threshold agents killed the Cult Leader in revenge.
The cultists managed one sacrifice for 6BP and summoned a minor demon who took out Max Durham but Luke Coldham managed to defeat it and then took out the final cultist.

The games were fun and Keith is already planning on what figures to buy...

Some photos of the games:

A goof, clean table, I like it :)

Could use another crypt for cover maybe, or a memorial wall  ???

Yes, a very nice table. I would had a bit more blocking LOS to keep shooting from being a huge advantage.

I am thinking abut a bit more cover.  We didn't find it much of a problem - ruling that the large gravestones gave you a 5+ save and the memorials, etc gave you a 4+.

In the second game the Zombies and some cultists all went down under the Professor's trusty Bowie knife....

That looks great, Mike.
 :-*

Really fast work, too.
I am impressed.

If you want to break up line of sight more, without having to add too much more to the Graveyard, you could just move some of the larger mausoleums into the centre of the board, leaving the smaller tombstones for the outside areas.

This project looks great! Especially considering the time restraints you are working with.

Some high shrubs or a masoleum would add to that...

Yes, all gravestones, etc are from Ainsty. Also the walls are Ainsty as well.

Mike

I wish I could have arranged things to take part in your game, I'll have to work on you to repeat it sometime, somewhere I can get to. I hope it goes well for you (I'm sure it will).

Doug
