Hi All,

New to the board (it's all Vanvlak's fault) and hoping to win Valuable Prizes in this illustrious competition. :-)

Well, here goes nothing. A finely crafted picture showing minis of dubious quality has been wafted to our generous Mod on the wings of the Electronic Aether.

All I have to do now is paint another five figs before next Sunday.

No pressure, then.

Voted for all the matches now and really enjoyed seeing so much great painting.  One thing puzzles me though.  Why do some "matches" have so many more votes than some others?  
I think it was the same in the first round.  I know it is only the first day, but I always vote for every match, going through them all one by one and savouring the enjoyment.

Yep, had a great time voting. Even if the quality of the painting did my aspirations no good whatsoever :-)

Couldn't say why the number of votes would vary - perhaps some people haven't time to vote on all matches?

I missed a couple this morning as I always check new posts rather than go to the section for the LPL. That might be a reason for it?

One thing puzzles me though.  Why do some "matches" have so many more votes than some others?  
I think it was the same in the first round.

My theory: the contests which get replies or comments are posted to the posts since last visit list, and come up when requested; the ones which get votes but no replies are not. If someone is kind enough to tally the numbers of votes of posts with comments and the numbers of votes in contests without comments we could verify this.  :

that's easy,  I've started some of the polls 1-2 days ago in the Admin board And moved them on Monday to t the LPL one.

It's hard to start all them Monday morning and would take lots of time, so I'm going to get ready a bit earlier.
