That's because people keep mispelling it, the correct spelling  of the country is Kosinda (no 'h') which it the Victorian spelling of the modern Cosinda.

The other reason is because Kosinda is a fictional African country of my own making - it came about as a setting for a number of large skirmish games played by a group of friends in the '80s using 20mm platoon 20 figures. We needed a 1970's African setting and while trying to think of a name I noticed the Co/Sin button on my scientific calculator (for working out sin and cosin); we added a 'da' and Cosinda was founded.   It's been used for a number of games and campaigns since so it seemed logical to use the name for my VSF forces.

Unfortunately being a solo player, due to imposed work/life commitments, does not help!!!

Also, living in a “none VSF playing zone” makes it hard to share those little moments of likeminded comradeship.

At least, I haven't found anyone around who publically admits to it.

Also if these lads won't let you play you are more than welcome to drop in at my place and have a few games in the shed. Might take you a little bit more time to get here as we are in Australia, but as we have over 10 acres on the mountain you can pitch a tent in a paddock and have a campout at the same time!!! Just watchout for the Drop Bears...bit nasty at this time of the year, mating season and all.

But, yes, to Oz is a whole 'nuther story. Long ago, I was thinking how good it would be for Colonel O'Truth to meet up with the posters in Australia, massive landships and other beasts. Then looked at a map with AU and NZ and a proper legend...

A part of that also comes down to fuel cost over here. For example when I drive down to play against Malamute and pals, it costs me £50 in fuel, can't do that too often.
