I like them actually, used to play lots of Warmachine.
But maybe I just got used to the lids...

I do play warmachine as well. But I always find them fiddly and a bit difficult to pick up and such. It might be that I'm getting old and hate change :)

Mebbe I'm showing my age again, but I lose patience with convoluted combat resolution mechanics. Re-inventing the wheel for the sake of being 'different' is tedious, and my interest level plummets when I see a lot of cards/chits/charts. I'm all for streamlining mechanics at every opportunity.

While I prefer standard slotta bases, the lipped bases are a quibble, IMO. So long as every model is based consistently on the table.

I 100% agree with you.  I'm feeling old and crotchety about this.

UWZ took the mechanics to the farthest point I want to go.  While the new rules may be fine in their own right, I'm still leaning towards UWZ but fleshing out my armies with some of the new, incredibly nice figures.

Oh good, I am not alone.
I am planning to use 30mm mdf bases, right size, but NOT the "silly" lipped look.
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

And let me just say, it's not really possible to please everyone with every sculpt.  Tastes differ.  I like the most of what I've seen, but don't like others.  The rules aren't a concern for me really.

And none of that changes the fact I have at least a Razide level support for their Kickstarter.  I want this to succeed with actual product on the market again and supported by a company who cares.

Good to hear that mate, totally true. Some people don't seem to understand quite how much this all costs... It's being done with loads of care!

Of course, if people want to use the miniatures for older versions etc, who's going to stop you?

30mm bases... I'm not that fussed really. You can get 30mm sized traditional slottas too.

The idea of this release is to keep everyone happy, oldies, newbies, people that have expressedn interest in the past and of course, the owners have to be happy too! :)

Putting my grump aside as well: even if the rules prove too fiddly for me, I'll gladly buy figs. Happy to support a worthy cause. And I'm really digging the Cybertronic.

Well I'm painting one of the Zombie Legionnaires at the moment...

There should be some (properly) painted miniatures up on the site soon I hope!

Here's a video I made of gameplay. We slip up here and there, but it is the first time we played the Beta Rules, so it comes with warts and all!  :)

Strictly unofficialy, this one I might add!

Hi!

Liking the necromutants but not too sure about the Mohawk or faceplates! The Mishima chap is looking good though as long as he doesn't end up with short sleeves!

I will need to take a peek at the rules but hoping they aren't too complex!
