Polyfilla is just your average plaster, gap filler bud. Pollyfilla on the other hand is stuff Taxidermists use to stuff dead parrots! ;) :D

Sorry, bad joke!!

Once you make up the bricks it doesn't take that long. I wouldn't say much longer than other methods with foam. I wasn't accurate with my sizes. I just cut a bundle of bricks, rub them between my hands to take the edges off, viola! I used to scribe my brickwork into foam, but I prefer the look of this.

Cheers man! I'm going to try and get a bit fancier with some other stuff and try and make single and double doors that can be stuck on the outside of buildings as well. I was also looking at a lot of Tudor furniture pics.....

Cheers guys!!

I'm getting a bit further with this now. I've finished the first attic section. Where the roof runs front to back on this one, others the roof will go side to side. I didn't think it was worth putting support beams in the loft space, my thinking is that would take up too much room...

I made a bit of an arse with my measuring!!! :-[ The first base section is away to Andy, to try casting. My problem being, I hadn't thought about stacking the upper levels properly!! The first upper floor section I've done had support beams running horizontally across the bottom AND top, when you stack that you end up with a double beam between floors, so I've cut the top one off! This means it now looks right. Now my only problem is I planned to have the levels a standard size, allowing me to make 'one size fits all' levels allowing me to make a chimney stack section, etc in only one height! Now I'll have to have bits that go with the base units and bits that go with the upper levels!! :'(

Here's some other wee bits as well...

This is one of the new windows I'm working on. I've still to do the frame of the window in green stuff, so here's my question....I was planning on doing arches and stuff to make it look fancy, but this won't allow it to be reversible, should I just stick with a simpler, square-ish frame to allow it to be turned upside down?

It's missing a bit of something right now, but I think if you divide it with purely vertical beams (mullions, I think they're called?), with slightly thicker ones where it meets the wall it should look just fine.

Do two?
One reversible with square frames, one non-reversible with arches?

Ok, a few different varieties it is then. This ones just a rough wooden square-ish frame. I still need to do the reverse side....

Cheers guys!
