That nef scenario at Enfilade was about grabbing a band of civilians, right? I was wondering how your little gyrocopters off the big carrier nef performed during the battle.

Great building! Wish I'd seen it first. I'm looking for buildings like that for pirate scenarios. Would that building happen to be cast by one of the vendors that sells at Enfilade?

Yup, and the little 'copters played escort to the small 'nef that picked up the civilians for the win.

The building was in the bring and buy until I saw it Friday night.

By all that's holy! Has it really been almost a year since I updated?

Today's prizes are some 'Highland Martians'.  They are actually Oni no Sanru from the old Clan War miniatures game, but I painted them a lighter green to set them apart, and use them as a Green equivalent to the Space:1889 High Martians, that had rudimentary flight.

The bases have magnets in them, so that I can use them at the same 'level' as my Aeronefs, and give them the appearance of flight in game.

And the leader of the Green Nation, some guy I haven't named yet!

Look Warren!  I painted one!

Excellent! Look forward to seeing your VSF stuff, new and old, at Enfilade next weekend.

(By the way, the Island of the Crocodile God is ready to be played. Just typed up and printed out the player character stat sheets today. Wil type up the NPC stat sheets tomorrow. There's photos on the Facebook NHMGS group.)

Noticed this thread just now and I have to say I like it and am glad that I discovered it now. Better late than never.

You show in here what can be gained with an open mind and imagination. Your landhais are so impressive with their different stages of growing up and you even gave them some convincing(!) fluff. And the idea to use Cryx chicken as steam mounts for VSF is simply great!
I take my hat off to you, sir!

Thanks!  It is part of why I will go back and resurrect these threads when I add to them, is to let people see something they may have missed if they decide to look at the thread again.  I don't know how many times I have gone looking for old threads just to see if I missed something.

In the stentorian tones at the wedding of Princess Vespa and Princess, er, Prince Valium...

Holy moly!

Steppe tigers take one look and FLEE!

Which one will have the wing tattoo 'Death from Above'? :D

Heh, I never thought of wing tattoos.  Cool idea.

Also new to the Norwegian forces, Kaptin Hedda Gabler, head of the 'Privateer' division of the Norsk aeroforces.

She is a conversion of a Warmachine Cryx character - Skarr, I think - that I replaced her horns with a press molded shako, and replaced the stupidly large sword with a more elegant 'feminine' weapon.

A new Red Martian raises his head here...

And Kaptin Gabler's gliding clank she uses to drop onto enemy vessels.  If he doesn't just go through the deck, he can then proceed to do damage.

And, as we cruise along tonight, here are two more...

John Carter, from Tin Man.  Beautiful figure.  I am no Michi or Captain Blood when it comes to skin tones, but I was happy with him.  The photo washed him out a bit...

And another Red Martian.

Why all the activity, you ask?  Because I need them for the game of Pulp Alley I am running this weekend at Enfilade, and Fallout 4 has been causing me to neglect my painting.  When I am done here, I will likely disappear again for a while, and then my thread in Post-Apocalyptic is going be on overdrive for a few months...unless I get distracted again.

I might pooh-pooh the video crack, but I shall definitely look up your thread in Post-A.

Just, have a kind though for your fans, and share piccies of the final games.  lol

By the by, where may I drop a missive to Miss Kaptin?  :-*

I am planning on photos of the game - can't get my decoder ring any other way, now can I?  Besides, gotta spread the word somehow.

Having been 'An Enemy of the People' for years, I needed no Wiki intro.  ;)

However, I'm sure Ibsen's lass was never a Kaptin, so I assumed MERE coincidence. What, you don't think the martial minx would look kindly on my advances?  :o

There's a decoder ring?!?

I don't know, but i am going to assume as long as I keep playing Pulp Alley, sooner or later there will be!

And I like to track down real names from the time period to use, and act as though the person "went Free" when Norway left for the Red Planet.  This one seemed appropriate.
