Carnevale Scenery
« on: March 11, 2013, 10:00:22 AM »
PlastCraftGames have just previewed the first of their new building range for Carnevale. Venetian buildings and bridges. They already make texture sheets for walls/floors.

Superb looking models, if they are priced and the quality of the other ranges they make they will be amazing value.

Fortunate that I have only just started my own scratchbuilt efforts....these look far better!

That's some good stuff. I like that the bridges have flat surfaces so your figures don't fall off.
I wonder if I will be able to buy the windows ad doors as septates, so I can make my own.

I doubt it.

Or, I wonder if anyone else makes windows and doors like those?

These guys seem pretty open to the idea, the more of us that suggest it the better chance of seeing something.

As for cost of these it is still unknown, nothing on the Carnevale pages either yet.

On the Vesper-On page (Carnevale) it now says these are due out in "about a month" but still no details of pricing.
There is also a picture showing the scenery with some Carnevale figures for size comparison.

I've been planning to make something like this for WWII (i have already for fantasy and i'm working for the postapoc), but i'm always distracted by other projects! =(

No they make everything you see in the picture. They supply the pre cut plastic (pvc foamcore) building body with carving/embossed details etched onto the wall surfaces, and the resin doors/windows etc to fix to them. They also make the bridges, the railings and the textured sheets for canal walls and groundworks.

This is what you get from them as a basic building kit (a simple Samurai style building for the Kensei range costing 13 euros) the cut sheet layouts are shown in the diagram.

The fact that it is a complete scenery set is what is making it so interesting, there are a lot of people hanging on the release of the pricing details. If they come out at anything like similar prices to the medieval and Japanese ranges they are going to be extremely popular.

It looks rather lovely, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Hopefully the pricing will be a reasonable level like the other pieces.

Don't particularly have an interest in Carnevale but Venice..... oh yes! Look forward to seeing what price these come out at.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Lovely I would however suspect a hefty ££££s ratio
