It's been a while since my last update but I've been a bit rough recently so painting went by the wayside however I do have something to show you.
I commissioned a little piece with Shadow and Flame (https://www.facebook.com/ShadowandFlame.co.uk) which was just completed yesterday, they've done a superb job and I can't thank them enough for the time and effort they have put in.
So without further ado here is Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs:

As you can see incredible work, as for myself I'm going to get cracking on the last unit of Fallen Dwarves come Monday so will have something to show soon.

Rather nice, money well-spent, methinks! Nice fire effects, the lava glow on the base being my favourite, subtle yet intense.

Who manufactures that figure? It looks familiar, but I cannot pin-point it.

It was a scratch build, there were a couple of pieces of artwork that influenced it as well as needing to have a similar feel to the GW Balrog and Dweller.

Lovely work...though I question how long that saliva would last in a furnace-laden beastie!

PS: I love big huge monsters like this, but then I wonder - what could realistically ever kill something like that!?   lol

It was a commission for me so I'm afraid you won't be able to pick one of these up, they did a great job though.

Missed this thread before.

I like what's going on and that Balrog is certainly reminiscent of the older style images of LotR  8)

cheers
